Copernicus Center scholarships for PhD and postdoctoral researchers
 
 
Within the grant The Limits of Scientific Explanation received from The John Templeton Foundation, Copernicus Center is announcing a scholarship contest for PhD and postdoctoral researchers in the following research areas:
 
(1) Mind and Normativity (PhDpost-doc)
 
(2) Philosophy and Theology (PhDpost-doc)
 
(3) Physics and Cosmology (PhDpost-doc)
 
 
We invite participants from Poland and abroad from the following disicplines: philosophy, psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, anthropology, theology, religious studies, culture studies, cosmology, and physics. Copernicus Center College organizes didactic activity in form of: Seminars of Philosophy of Nature (2008/2009 yr), series of lectures "Science and the Big Questions" (2009/2010), series of lectures "Science and Religion" (2010/2011). College Copernicus Center also organizes international conferences. Under the aegis of College annual Copernicus Center Lectures are held.

One of the most important, prestigious and ongoing didactic activities are COPERNICUS CENTER LECTURES
 
 
 Science and Religion (every Wednesday, at 6 p.m.)
  
 
Copernicus Center for Interdisciplinary Studies together with Tischner European University  and University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow  organize a series of lectures "Science and Religion" in the winter semester of academic year 2010/11 yr. Lectures are held on every Wednesday at 6 p.m, at Tischner European University, Westerplatte Str. 11, Cracow. The last fifteen minutes of every lecture is devoted to a discussion with the speaker. (>>)
