Michał Heller

Cosmologist, philosopher, and theologian. A professor of philosophical sciences, he specializes in the philosophy of nature, physics, relativistic cosmology, and the relationship between science and faith. Knight of the Order of the White Eagle. He was the first Pole to receive the Templeton Prize (in 2008), awarded for bridging the gap between science and religion. He is a staff member of the Vatican Observatory and a member of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences. Recipient of numerous awards and author of several dozen books. The first director, founder, and originator of the Copernicus Center for Interdisciplinary Studies.
